The pandemic has been bothering the world in every tiny way possible. Especially, India’s economy plummeted during the Corona era and an estimated 19 million people lost their jobs.
The government is also being criticized for the gap in the economy. Now the Modi government has announced to help the job losers. As per the workers who are registered in the Employees State Insurance Corporation and those who have lost their jobs after March 24, the Modi government will give half salary and employee benefit.
This means that industrial workers who lose their jobs in the Corona crisis will get half the salary as unemployment allowance for three months. This benefit will be given to workers whose jobs have gone between March 24 and December 31 this year. Earlier, a 25 percent salary was provided as an unemployment allowance. Which has now been increased to 50 percent? The new provision will be applicable for one year.
To avail this facility, the worker has to apply to any branch of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. After verification, they will be given half the salary in the bank account. For this, the help of the Aadhaar number will be sought.
